RUTHERFORD, N.J. ? The Felician College softball program has signed the following four recent high school graduates to national letters of intent: Tiffany Deeubol of Belleville, Amber Doran of Little Ferry, Samantha Ortiz of Brooklyn, N.Y., and Tiara Smith of North Bergen.

Deeubol was an all-area and all Northern New Jersey Interscholastic League third-baseman for Belleville High, where she also played basketball. She is a member of the AAU New Jersey Pink Panthers, and intends to major in business administration at Felician.

Doran, a 5-foot-6 pitcher, was a first-team all-league selection in softball, basketball, and volleyball at Ridgefield Park High. She has also signed to play volleyball at Felician. Her older sister, Nicole, is a former two-sport athlete for the Golden Falcons. She will enter the College's teacher education program.

Ortiz was a team MVP at Midwood High, and projects as a first-baseman in college. Over her scholastic career, she was named Midwood's best pitcher, best hitter, and most electric player. She also played volleyball. She is a member of the AAU Brooklyn Cyclones program. She plans to study marketing.

Smith set North Bergen High records for victories (82-25) and strikeouts (860), and became the first Hudson County pitcher to have 20 or more wins in all four seasons. A four-time all-county selection, she also plays for the AAU New Jersey Heist. She intends to major in marketing.

Led by sixth-year head coach Kathy Hill, Felician posted a 21-16 overall won-lost record in 2007. The Division II Golden Falcons qualified for the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Tournament for the third consecutive season.
