THREE CACC SOFTBALL TEAMS TO COMPETE IN ECAC CHAMPIONSHIPS

NEW HAVEN, CT ? Dominican College, Georgian Court University and Felician College have been selected to play in the 2006 ECAC DII Softball Championship, it was announced today. The Chargers enter the tournament as the top seed with an overall record of 37-17. The tournament is a four-team field with all rounds being held at Georgian Court University.

Dominican will play the No. 4 seed, University of Bridgeport (21-21), in the first game on Saturday, May 13, at 10 am. The No. 2 seed Georgian Court (27-15) will meet #3 Felician (25-23) in the second game at noon.

The championship game will take place on Sunday at 12 p.m. The full tournament schedule is below.

Saturday, May 13

Game 1: #1 Dominican vs. #4 Bridgeport - 10 am

Game 2: #2 Georgian Court vs. #3 Felician - Noon

Game 3: Loser of Game 1 vs. Loser of Game 2 - 2 pm

Game 4: Winner of Game 1 vs. Winner of Game 2 - 4 pm

Saturday, May 14

Game 5: Winner of Game 3 vs. Loser of Game 4 - 10 am

Game 6: Championship: Winner of Game 4 vs. Winner of Game 5 - Noon

Game 7: if necessary - 2 pm
