April 5, 2006

NEW HAVEN, CT - The Caldwell College softball team is ranked 24th in the latest National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) Division II Top 25 Poll. The Cougars return to the top 25 after falling out of the national rankings in the previous poll on March 22, ending a streak of 17 straight appearances in the poll.

After starting the season with a 4-6 record at the Rebel Spring Games in Kissimmee, FL, the Cougars have gone 10-2 since, improving their overall record to 14-8, including a 5-1 mark in the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC).

The Cougars have been ranked as high as 16th in the country this season.
