POST SOFTBALL AMONG BEST ACADEMICALLY

WATERBURY, CT - The Post University softball team, coached by Dawn Spellman-Mara, finished 35th out of 285 teams nationally in team grade point average last season. The Eagles averaged a GPA of 3.13, the northeast region?s sixth best mark.

?This is an honor and we are all very pleased that the hard work in the classroom does not go unnoticed,? said Spellman-Mara. ?I would be remiss if I did not thank Academic Advisor Mike Donnelly and the Director of Compliance Karin Mann who watch over the kids closely. It is a team effort here at Post and I am proud of the ladies.?

This is not the first honor for of Spellman?s teams. She has been named conference Volleyball Coach of the Year in 2003 and the softball team won the 2003 Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Championship.
