NEW HAVEN, CT - Amy Coker of Caldwell College has been named Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Softball Player of the Week for the week ending Sunday, May 7. Caldwell's Jessica Saunders and Anna Dahl share Pitcher of the Week honors, while Dominican's Sarah Beck is the Rookie of the Week pick.

Coker, a senior 2B from Pennsville, NJ, was named MVP of the CACC Tournament after driving in the game-winning runs in the championship game Saturday afternoon. She went 1-for-3 in the final game with two RBI and a double. She also finished 1-for-3 with a run and a stolen base against Dominican.

Saunders, a senior from Glen Burnie, MD, and Dahl, a junior from Lindenwold, NJ, share Pitcher of the Week honors. Both pitchers are right-handers and were instrumental in Caldwell's CACC Championship run. Dahl went 2-0 for the tournament and allowed only one run in 12.2 total innings of work. In the championship game, she went 6.0 innings and allowed six hits and one run, while fanning five, against Dominican.

Saunders went 1-0 with a save during the tournament and fanned 26 batters in 15.1 innings of work, while only allowing three runs. She struck out 16 batters in her start against Bloomfield and notched a save in the championship game.

Beck earns Rookie of the Week accolades for the third time this season and she was named Player of the Week on one occasion. Beck, a freshman catcher from Milton, NY, hit .571 (8-of-14) at the CACC Tournament in four games. She hit a grand slam versus Felician and went 3-for-4 with two RBI and two doubles against Georgian Court.
