LOOSE RESIGNS AS SOFTBALL COACH AT WILMINGTON COLLEGE

New Castle, DE – Wilmington College Director of Athletics, Frank Aiello, announced the resignation of Gretchen Loose as the Head Softball Coach, effective immediately.

After four seasons as head coach, Loose is leaving the program to pursue other career opportunities and focus on her high school basketball coaching career.

"Gretchen has been a hard-working friend to Wilmington College and the student-athletes she has recruited," said Aiello. "We wish her the very best in her future endeavors."

During her tenure at Wilmington, Loose led the Lady Wildcats to a 64-99 overall record, including a 40-43 mark in the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference. She led her teams to the CACC playoffs in two out of her four years, and her 2003 squad earned a NAIA National Tournament berth after capturing the Region X Championship.
