PILUDU FALLS SHORT AT ITA DIVISION II SINGLES CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH

Mobile, AL – Concordia's Daniele Piludu (Cagliari, Italy) was unable to capture the Division II Singles Championship Title in the 2011 USTA/ITA National Small College Championships today. Piludu, the #3 seed, faced off against #1 seeded Lucas Jovita of Rollins College in the 
championship match where he lost a tough battle 6-0, 6-2.
Jovita won the first set 6-0, but Piludu jumped ahead 2-0 in the second set thanks to an early break. However, that would be the last game Daniele would win, as Jovita took the final six games to advance to the "Super Bowl" with a 6-2 second set victory.
