Concordia Sweeps CACC Men's Tennis Postseason Honors
NEW HAVEN, Conn. (April 17, 2012) - Concordia's
Daniele Piludu (Cagliari, Italy) was honored as
the 2012 CACC Men's Tennis Player of the Year, in a voting by the
league's head coaches. Concordia teammate Mark
Mozer (Brest, Belarus) also was recognized as the 2012
CACC Men's Tennis Rookie of the Year, while Concordia head coach
Neil Tarangioli was tabbed as the CACC Coach of
the Year.
Piludu, a sophomore, is currently ranked as the No. 20 singles player nationally in Division II and earns the 2012 CACC Player of the Year honor one year after being named the conference's rookie of the year.
Mozer finished the regular season undefeated in conference play and the No. 10 ranked player in the East Region, the highest region ranking of all freshmen in the CACC.
Tarangioli, who has been at the Concordia helm since 1980, earns the CACC Coach of the year honor for the third straight season after guiding the Clippers to a perfect 6-0 conference finish and a No. 7 national ranking.
Joining Piludu and Mozer on the All-CACC First Team is Manoli Sgouros (Philadelphia University), Geza Bazula (Concordia College), Andreas Lindell (Concordia College) and David Tisserand (Concordia College).

The 2012 CACC Men's Tennis Championship is slated for Saturday-Sunday, April 21-22 at Concordia College in Bronxville, N.Y.
