PILUDU CHOSEN MEN'S TENNIS PLAYER OF THE WEEK

NEW HAVEN, Conn. – Concordia College’s Daniele Piludu was selected Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Men's Tennis Player of the Week for the week ending Sunday, March 20. Piludu was tabbed Rookie of the Week last week. Fellow Clipper David Tisserand was the choice for Rookie of the Week.

Piludu, a 5-11 freshman from Cagliari, Italy, posted a 3-0 record in singles last week and notched wins over Fresno Pacific (#1 NAIA), Abilene Christian (#10 DII) and Hawaii Pacific (#25 DII).

Tisserand, a 6-1 freshman from Roquefort la Bedoule, France, earned his first CACC Rookie of the Week award. Tisserand went 2-1 in singles play last week, and went undefeated (3-0) in doubles with partner Andreas Lindell.

Honorable Mention

Julius Twyman, Chestnut Hill - Went undefeated in singles and doubles. He is the singles #5 player , and doubles #3.

CACC Team Notes

Concordia - The Clippers had two very close losses last week before picking up a win over Hawaii Pacific (#25 Division II). The Clippers will open up their CACC season on Tuesday against Chestnut Hill.
