POST AND CHESTNUT HILL MEN'S SOCCER TEAMS RANKED IN EAST REGION
NEW HAVEN, Conn. (September 13, 2011) - Post University's men's soccer team moved from eighth to fifth this week in the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) East Region poll. Chestnut Hill College moved into the rankings and is seventh this week.
The Eagles went 1-0-1 last week, playing Le Moyne College to a 0-0 draw before defeating Felician College at home 3-1 on Saturday. The team is 2-0-2 this year. Post will travel to Dowling next week on September 22. Dowling currently sits fourth in the region and is ranked 25th in the national poll this week.
Chestnut Hill defeated Nyack, 1-0 on Saturday, when the Warriors were ranked 10th in the region at the time. Chestnut Hill entered the week with a 2-0-1 record, but fell to St. Thomas Aquinas on Tuesday afternoon. The Griffins will play at the University of the District of Columbia on Thursday, followed by a home game against conference foe Bloomfield College Saturday.
