WILMINGTON MEN'S SOCER RANKED 15TH IN NSCAA PRE-SEASON POLL

NEW HAVEN, Conn. - The Wilmington University men’s soccer team IS ranked fifteenth in the nation, according to the Preseason National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) poll.

The Wildcats finished with an overall record of 19-3-1 in 2009 and won the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) regular season title. The Wildcats earned their first NCAA East Region Tournament berth, falling to Southern New Hampshire University in double overtime.
 
The ‘Cats closed out last season ranked fifteenth nationally, and are expected to be among one of the top teams in the CACC this season, as they return 15 letterwinners, including NCAA and Daktronics All-Americans, Jamal Wiggins and Nickalus McDonald.
Wilmington is slated to open the season on Thursday, September 2, with a home game against the Deacons of Bloomfield College in a CACC contest beginning at 3:30 PM.
