LYNDHURST, N.J. -- Felician College men's soccer players and coaches volunteered to help coordinate the recent Lyndhurst Youth Soccer Day. The event took place on Sept. 11 at the Lyndhurst (N.J.) Recreation Complex, the home field of the Golden Falcons, and involved the children of the Lyndhurst Youth Soccer

Some of the activities for the children included an obstacle course -- a timed course of dribbling and shooting, a penalty shootout, where the kids tried to hit targets in each corner of the goal to win prizes, and a station where the speed of shots was measured with a radar gun.

"This was a great way for our team to come together to support the community of Lyndhurst and build stronger relationships," said Felician assistant coach Greg Patullo. "The time with the children showed our players that their love for the game is still as strong as when they themselves were in youth programs."
