WILMINGTON MEN'S SOCCER RANKED NINTH IN NATION; FIRST IN EAST REGION

NEW CASTLE, DE -- The Wilmington University men's soccer team has been ranked ninth in the nation and first in the East Region, according to the latest National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) poll. The national and regional rankings are voted upon by the coaches in the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference, the East Coast Conference, and the Northeast-10 conference.
Wilmington is coming off a 2-0 week last week, including a 2-1 victory over #19 East Stroudsburg University and a 2-1 win over the New York Institute of Technology.
The national ranking is the highest in program history, since the Wildcats became members of the NCAA in 2004. The regional ranking of first is also the highest in program history.

The ‘Cats are slated to travel to the Southern New Hampshire University Invitational later in the week. The are scheduled to face Saint Anselm College on Thursday afternoon, and then tangle with the 20th ranked Penmen of Southern New Hampshire on Saturday afternoon.
Dominican College is also ranked in the East Region this week and sits in sixth place. The Chargers opened the season with a 3-2 triumph over Assumption College. The full East Region poll is below.
