POST'S JOHNSON EARNS WEEKLY HONORS FOR SECOND STRAIGHT WEEK

NEW HAVEN, CT - Maurice Johnson of Post University has earned Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Men's Soccer Player of the Week honors for the second consecutive week. Kevin Sinic of Felician College was the choice for Rookie of the Week.

Johnson, a 6-0 senior from Kingston, Jamaica, tallied seven points in a 1-1 week with three goals and one assist. He registered two goals and one assist in a win over Felician and found the back of the net against Wilmington.

Sinic, a 6-3 sophomore midfielder from Leibnitz, Austria, dished out two assists last week for the Golden Falcons. He assisted on the game-winning goal in a 3-1 win over Mercy.

Honorable Mention

Alan Heavey, Dominican (So., M, 5-9, Huntington Station, NY) - Netted a hat trick in a 3-0 win over Caldwell.

Seydou Ba, Holy Family (Jr., F, 6-0, Mauritania) - Posted a hat trick in a 6-1 victory over Caldwell.



Quincy Small, Felician (Sr., F, 5-9, Linden, Guyana) - Scored two goals last week, including the game-winner over Mercy.

CACC Notes

Bloomfield - The Deacons went 1-2 over the week, with their victory locking up a bid to the CACC Tournament. The 4-0 victory over Nyack featured four different goal-scorers, including Jason Bryan, Evan Tageo, Terry Gibbs and Edwin Ventura.

Caldwell - The Cougars ended the 2009 season with three losses last week to fall to 3-8 in conference play. This is the first season since 2002 that the Cougars failed to qualify for the CACC Tournament. Freshman midfielder Nick Bibbs scored his first career goal in a loss at Holy Family on Saturday.



Felician - Senior F Quincy Small is the first Felician player to score 10 goals in a season since Nick Levinson finished with 10 in 2003.

Philadelphia - The Rams went 0-1 on the week, falling in a non-conference match 4-0 at West Chester. PhilaU hosts their CACC Quarterfinal game Monday (11/2) vs. Bloomfield at 2 p.m. at Ravenhill Field (also Senior Day).
