DOMINICAN'S WRIGHT PICKS UP MEN'S SOCCER WEEKLY AWARD

NEW HAVEN, CT - Joe Wright of Dominican College has picked up
Central Atlantic Collegiate
Conference (CACC) Men's Soccer Player of the Week honors for the
week ending Sunday, Oct. 4. Ryan Lannutti of Chestnut Hill College
was the choice for Rookie of the Week.
Wright, a 6-0 senior from Stratford-Upon-Avon, England, registered four goals and one assist for the Chargers in a 2-0 week. He netted two goals and one assist in a conference victory over Chestnut Hill and added a pair of scores against Mercy. Wright was also named CACC Player of the Week back on Sept. 8.
Lannutti, a 5-10 freshman forward from Calabasas, CA, found the back of the net against nationally-ranked Dominican, ending a three-game scoreless streak for the Griffins. The goal cut Chestnut Hill's deficit to 2-1 in an eventual 4-1 loss.
Honorable Mention
Evans Tageo, Bloomfield (Sr., F, 6-2, Newark, NJ) - Scored a goal in each of BC's games last week, including a 2-1 victory over Post.
Tim Weglicki, Holy Family (So., F, 5-11, Philadelphia, PA) - Posted one goal and two assists in a 1-1 week. Both assists came against Wilmington.
CACC Notes
Bloomfield - The Deacons went 1-1 on the week, participating in two one-goal matches. BC defeated Post, 2-1, and fell victim to a late goal in a 2-1 loss at Philadelphia. Senior forward Evans Tageo tallied a goal in each match and currently leads the team with seven goals. The team returns to action on Saturday, Oct. 10 against Holy Family.
Caldwell - The Cougars aplit a pair of CACC contests last week, defeating Felician 4-0 and losing at Wilmington, 4-1. Junior goalkeeper Steven DeAngelis made his first career start and earned the shutout with seven saves against Felician. Senior midfielder Mark Costa scored his first career goal in Wednesday's win at Felician. Caldwell hosts three CACC opponents this week: Nyack on Tuesday, Post on Thursday and Philadelphia on Saturday.
Holy Family - Holy Family went 1-1-0 last week to move its
overall record to 7-3-2. The team lost to Wilmington, 3-2 and
defeated Post, 3-2. The Tigers were ranked ninth in the National
Soccer Coaches Association of America East Region poll. Entering
last week, keeper Mark Ferretti was ranked third in Division II in
save percentage (.915) and 14th in goals against average (0.58).
This week, Holy Family visits East Stroudsburg (Tue.) and
Bloomfield (Sat.).
Nyack - Manu Bright scored his first goal as a Warrior in Saturday's win over Goldey Beacom. Ryan Campo recorded his second goal of the season helping Nyack to a 2-0 win.
Philadelphia - The Rams went 2-0 this week, highlighted by a 2-1
win over Bloomfield College in PhilaU's homecoming match. Senior
forward Svetozar Gladic had the game-winner in that contest, while
senior Emmanuel Asangmbeng netted the difference-maker in a 3-2 win
over Washington Adventist earlier in the week. The team travels
this week, facing Chestnut Hill (10/6) and then Caldwell
(10/10).
