NEW HAVEN, CT (October 31, 2009) - Wilmington University, the 12^th-ranked team in the nation, has earned the top seed for the upcoming Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Men's Soccer Tournament. Wilmington will host the semi-final and championship rounds on Wednesday and Saturday, Nov. 4 and 7. The Wildcats went 11-0 in conference play this season and are currently 18-2 overall.

Dominican College clinched the No. 2 seed, while Holy Family University is No. 3 and Philadelphia University earned the No. 4 seed. The top four seeds will all host quarter-final games on Monday Nov. 2 at 2:00 pm. The tournament has expanded from six to eight teams for the first time this season.

Wilmington is the first team to go through the conference schedule without a loss or tie since Dominican won the regular-season with an 8-0 mark in 2006. The Wildcats are led by 2009 CACC Player of the Year, Sargbah Tarpeh. Six Wildcats were named to the All-Conference team this season, including five first team selections. Head Coach Nick Papanicolas was voted the CACC Coach of the Year. Wilmington enters the tournament as the No. 3 team in the NCAA East Region poll. The Wildcats will face #8 Goldey-Beacom College in the quarter-finals. GBC, which has earned a spot in the CACC Tournament for the first time since 2003, is 6-11 overall and 4-7 in conference action. Wilmington defeated the Lightning by a score of 5-1 on Oct. 6.

Dominican enters the tournament with an 8-2-1 conference record and a 13-2-2 overall mark. The Chargers, the fourth ranked team in the NCAA East Region poll, are led by first team All-CACC selections, senior forward Joe Wright, sophomore goalkeeper Brandon Heembrock and junior defender Clifton Huxtable. DC also had two players claim second team honors. The Chargers will face #7 Nyack College in the opening round on Monday. DC won the regular-season meeting on Oct. 10, 1-0.

Holy Family clinched the No. 3 seed with a 7-3-1 CACC record and an 11-5-1 overall mark. Sophomore forward Tim Weglicki garnered first team All-CACC accolades and junior forward Seydou Ba was a second team selection. The Tigers will face #6 Post University in the quarterfinals. Post won the CACC Championship last season with a 6-2 win over Holy Family in the championship match. Holy Family won the meeting this season at Post by a 3-1 count. Post features two first team All-Conference players in senior defender Andrew Nelson and senior midfielder Mike Semedo.

No. 4 Philadelphia and No. 5 Bloomfield College will face off in Philadelphia on Monday in the fourth quarter-final match. The Rams went 7-4 in conference play this season and is 11-6 overall, while Bloomfield enters the week 7-10-1 overall and 6-4-1 in the CACC. Philadelphia

features one first team All-Conference player in senior forward Svetozar Gladic, while Jolston Wattley was a second team honoree for the Deacons. The Rams upended Bloomfield, 2-1, at home on Oct. 3.
