NEW HAVEN, CT - The Division II East Region polls were released yestserday for men's soccer and men's and women's cross country and numerous Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) institutions are represented.

The National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) released its national and regional polls and Dominican College moved up to second in the region and 17th in the country. The Chargers defeated UMass-Lowell and tied Holy Family University last week to improve to 4-0-2 this season. Wilmington University stands fourth in the region with a 5-2 mark, while Philadelphia University entered the poll for the first time in the sixth spot. The Rams defeated East Stroudsburg in overtime and Felician College last week to improve to 3-1 this season.

The Philadelphia women's cross country team is ranked fifth in the U.S. Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) regional poll after a dominant performance at the Wilmington Invitational last weekend. The Lady Rams won the 11-team event by 42 points and put six runners in the top 10, including the individual champion, Sarah Simonetti. Georgian Court University is 10th in the region after finishing in 10th place at last weekend's Fordham University Fiasco.

On the men's side, Felician is ranked eighth after placing 13th at the Fordham Fiasco. Wilmington University appears in the poll for the first time, in 10th place. The Wildcats won the Wilmington Invitational on Saturday by one point over Philadelphia after having four runners place in the top-10.
