PHILADELPHIA, Pa. - Holy Family University men's soccer head coach Michael Bradby is pleased to announce the signing of forward Dodji Freitas. Freitas becomes the sixth player to join the program beginning this fall.

"We identified Dodji very early in the recruiting process and think he flew under the radar for most programs," stated Bradby. "He will have an opportunity to make an immediate impact on the field for us."

At Samuel S. Fels High School, Freitas was an All-State first team selection as a senior. Freitas was named the Public League boy's soccer player of the year as well. He also garnered All-Public League first team honors three times. In his four years as a starter, Freitas filled up the back of the net with 44 goals. He scored a career-high 18 goals during his sophomore season. Freitas also played for Fairmount Soccer Association International.

"We look forward to having Dodji in full-time training to see what position on the field best fits his abilities," said Bradby. "I think he could become a standout player for our program in the years ahead."

Holy Family opens its 2009 season with Holy Family University Invitational on August 29 against Davis and Elkins.
