CAPPO PROMOTED TO CHESTNUT HILL HEAD MEN'S SOCCER COACH

Philadelphia, PA - Chestnut Hill College Assistant Men's Soccer
Coach Keith Cappo has been
promoted to head coach, it was announced recently. In conjunction,
former head coach, Seamus O'Connor, will focus his attention on the
continued improvement of the women's team. Cappo assumes all
responsibilities for the men's soccer program including
recruitment, budget planning, scholarships, and game planning.
Professionally, Cappo has coached on various levels of competition including international, club, and high school soccer. Cappo served as an assistant at Chestnut Hill since the 2008 season. He served as the head coach for Predators 98 at West Chester United Soccer Club and is on the Eastern Pennsylvania Youth Soccer Association (EPYSA) Olympic Development staff. He has additional coaching experience with the Arlington Travel Soccer Club (2005-2006), Thomas A. Edison High School (2004-2006), Bishop Denis J. O'Connell High School (2004-2006), and The Shipley School (2006-2008).
As a collegiate student-athlete, he was a four-year starter at The Catholic University of America and served as team captain his junior and senior seasons with the Cardinals. Coach Cappo earned a bachelor of science in mathematics with a minor in secondary education.
He currently teaches mathematics at the Shipley School and resides with his wife Emily and son Quinn in Philadelphia.
