NEW HAVEN, CT - Five men's soccer players from Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) institutions have earned All-East Region honors by Daktronics according to an announcement made on Wednesday. Caldwell's Chad Bennett and Holy Family's Matt Kocher were first team selections. The team was voted upon by Sports Information Directors across the region, which includes the CACC, East Coast Conference and Northeast-10 Conference.

Bennett, a senior from Kingston, Jamaica, was named the CACC Player of the Year this past season after recording 13 goals and four assists for a total of 30 points. He makes his first appearance on the All-Region first team following last year's selections to the Daktronics and NCSAA/adidas All-Region second teams. A two-time All-CACC first team honoree, Bennett notched four multi-goal games and three game-winning goals en route to becoming Caldwell's first CACC Player of the Year in the 18-year history of the program.

Kocher, who hails from Philadelphia, PA, had a career-year in his final season with the Tigers. He set career highs in goals (15), assists (seven) and points (37).  Kocher ranked third in goals and points in the CACC and fifth in assists. Kocher also put his name in the Holy Family record book by ranking fifth for goals in a season and sixth for points in a season. Earlier this month, he was selected to the All-CACC first team and named to the CACC All-Tournament team after leading the Tigers to the championship match.

Second team picks from the CACC included Dominican junior forward Joe Wright, Bloomfield junior midfielder Triston Sommerville and Goldey-Beacom sophomore defender Chris Casey. Wright led the CACC in points per-game (2.25) and goals per-game (1.00) despite missing the last few weeks of the season due to an injury. Sommerville paced the conference with 14 assists this season and he stood fifth with 32 total points (nine goals, 14 assists).
