DOSSANTOS NAMED MEN'S SOCCER PLAYER OF THE WEEK

NEW HAVEN, CT - Paulo DosSantos of Felician College has earned Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Men's Soccer Player of the Week honors for the week ending Sunday, Oct. 28. Adrian Lagos of Bloomfield College was the choice for Rookie of the Week.
Dos Santos, a junior goalie from Toronto, Canada, allowed only one goal in two games while making 19 saves and facing 49 total shots. The only goal he gave up was on a rebound off the crossbar in the 89th minute at regionally-ranked Molloy.
Lagos, a freshman forward from West New York, NJ, led Bloomfield to a 1-1-1 week and helped give the Deacons their first-ever berth into the CACC Tournament. He tallied at least one point in all three games and registered eight total points (three goals and two assists).
Honorable Mention
Robert Kelly, Dominican (Sr., GK, Kearny, NJ) - Posted two shutouts and eight total saves against Bloomsburg and Chestnut Hill.
Joe Wright, Dominican (So., F, Stratford-Upon-Avon, England) - Scored two goals last week, including the only goal in a 1-0 win at Bloomsburg.
Sean Hordijenko, Holy Family (So., M, Philadelphia, PA) - Scored two goals in a 3-2 non-conference win over Millersville.
Eurica Trowers, Post (So., Bronx, NY) - Scored two goals in two games, one against Assumption and one at Bloomfield to clinch a playoff spot for the Eagles.
CACC Notes
Bloomfield - The Deacons have advanced to play in the CACC Tournament for the first time in program history. The Deacons earned a win last week over Nyack and tied Post to finish sixth in the regular-season standings.
Caldwell - The Cougars finished in third place in the CACC standings and will host Bloomfield on Monday, Oct. 29 in the first round of the CACC Tournament. Caldwell defeated the Deacons 3-0 in the regular season, receiving two goals from sophomore midfielder Justin Miller.
Felician - Felician misses the CACC Tournament for the first time, having qualified in eight consecutive seasons since joining the league.
Holy Family - Holy Family University won its only game of the week by defeating non-conference opponent Millersville, 3-2. Sean Hordijenko scored twice to lead the Tigers to the win. Holy Family enters the CACC Tournament as the fourth seed and will have a home game on Monday, October 29 at 2 p.m. It's the third time the Tigers have made the tournament.
