GOLDEY-BEACOM'S WHITE NAMED CACC MEN'S BASKETBALL PLAYER OF THE WEEK

NEW HAVEN, CT - Kyle White of Goldey-Beacom College has been
named the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Men's
Basketball Player of the Week for the week ending Sunday, Dec. 6.
Mark DiRugeris, Jr., of Chestnut Hill College was the choice for
Rookie of the Week for the second straight time.
White, a 5-10 senior guard from Georgetown, DE, averaged 24.7 points, 7.7 rebounds and 5.0 assists per-game in a 2-1 week for the Lightning. He shot 47.9-percent (23-for-48) from the field and 78.1-percent (25-of-32) from the free-throw line. He poured in 28 points, including the game-tying lay-up at the buzzer to force overtime in an eventual win over Shippensburg. He also notched a double-double against Washington Adventist with 20 points and 10 rebounds, along with four assists.
DiRugeris, Jr., a 6-1 freshman guard from Woodbury, NJ, posted averages of 13.0 points, 2.5 rebounds and 2.0 steals per-game in two contests last week. He registered 18 points, four steals and three rebounds against Kutztown while shooting 7-for-15 from the field.

Ethan Kennedy, Felician (Sr., C, 6-7, Albuquerque, NM) - Tallied 26 points (10-15 FG) and five rebounds in a win at St. Thomas Aquinas.
Jose Lopez, Nyack (Sr., G, 5-9, Medford, NY) - In a 2-0 week, averaged 20.5 points, 3.0 assists and 2.5 rebounds per-game.
Russell Frederick, Philadelphia (Sr., G, 6-1, Baltimore, MD) - Averaged 18.5 points, 5.0 rebounds and 4.5 assists per-game in a 1-1 week.
CACC Notes
Caldwell - The Cougars lost both of their games last week, including the CACC opener to Dominican, 61-51 on Wednesday. Caldwell also dropped a non-league game to Cheyney, 68-52 on Monday in the Newman Center. This week the Cougars play at Bloomfield on Tuesday and at Adelphi on Saturday.
Felician - Junior F/G Devon Young scored his 1,000th career point in Felician's road victory over St. Thomas Aquinas. He is the fifth player in the 14-year history of the program to reach that milestone, doing it in 61 games. Senior C/F Ethan Kennedy scored a career-high 26 points (in 22 minutes) in the win, which extended the best start in school history (5-0).
Goldey-Beacom - Senior Kyle White's late-game heroics enabled the Lightning to come away with a thrilling overtime win on the road at Shippensburg on Monday. GBC was trailing by two with six seconds left in regulation when White took the inbounds pass and went coast-to-coast to make a lay-up with one second left on the clock to force extra time. The Lightning would ultimately win, 89-90, and White led all scorers with 28 points.
Holy Family - After a nine-day break, Holy Family (0-4) returns to action with four games this week. The Tigers open their CACC schedule at Wilmington on Tuesday. The Tigers then host Goldey-Beacom on Thursday. The week ends with non-conference games at California (Pa.) (Sat.) and at home against American International (Sun.)
Philadelphia - The Rams won their sixth-straight game against Lock Haven this week before falling to West Chester University. The senior tandem of Russell Frederick (Baltimore, MD/ Calvert Hall) and Malcolm Ingram (Philadelphia, PA/ Solebury Prep) combined for 64 points, 33 rebounds and 12 assists this week. The Rams will be back in action at conference foe Goldey-Beacom Tuesday (12/8) followed by a home contest against Wilmington on Thursday (12/10).
USP - Freshman Will Kernan (Medford, N.J.) had a career high 16 points in Saturday's loss at Kutztown. Sophomore Myer Messinger (Trucksville, Pa.) recorded a career high with 25 points in Thursday's game vs. Lincoln. Also scoring a career high against Lincoln was freshman Zaahid Holloman (Philadelphia, Pa.) who had 12 points. Junior Adewale Adefemi (Chesilhurst, N.J.) recorded his second consecutive double-double in Tuesday night's loss to East Stroudsburg, scoring 12 points and grabbing 15 rebounds. In their first-ever regular season game against an Ivy League school, the Devils dropped a 68-49 decision to Brown University at the Palestra last Friday (11/27). It was also the institution's first regular season game against a Division I opponent since 1979.
Wilmington - The Wildcats notched their first win of the year against St. Thomas Aquinas last week. They followed with a close loss (62-58) to Bloomsburg in a game that included 15 lead changes.
