TOP SEEDS ADVANCE TO SEMI-FINALS OF CACC MEN'S BASKETBALL TOURNAMENT

NEW HAVEN, Conn. - The top four seeds in the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) men's basketball tournament won tonight to advance to the semi-final round this Friday at Caldwell College.  The 2010 quarter-finals produced the same semi-final match-ups as the 2009 tournament.

The top overall seed in the tournament, Philadelphia University, upended South #4 Chestnut Hill College, 74-64. The North's top seed, Bloomfield College, fought past North #4 Post University, 80-75. The South's No. 2 seed, Goldey-Beacom College, used a second half surge to get past cross-town rival Wilmington University, 79-71, while N#2 Felician College defeated N#3 Dominican College, 69-58.

By virtue of being the top overall seed, Philadelphia will play first on Friday at noon against Felician. Bloomfield and Goldey-Beacom will follow at approximately 2:00 pm. Both games will be played at Caldwell College.
