STURNS TABBED ECAC MEN'S BASKETBALL PLAYER OF THE WEEK

CENTERVILLE, MA-Holy Family University senior guard Michael Sturns was tabbed as the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Division II men's basketball player of the week for the second time this month on Thursday.

Sturns, also selected as the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) player of the week on Monday, averaged 27.0 points, 8.0 rebounds and 3.5 assists in a 2-0 week for Holy Family. He recorded a double-double, his second of the season, last Tuesday against Goldey-Beacom consisting of 30 points and 12 rebounds. On Saturday versus Dominican, Sturns tallied 24 points. He is leading Division II in scoring with 26.4 points per game.

Holy Family is 18-8 overall and 11-4 in the CACC. The Tigers are ranked seventh in the Northeast Region and have clinched the second seed in the CACC South for the upcoming CACC Championship Tournament. Holy Family will end the regular season on Saturday, February 23 at Nyack at 3 p.m.
