PHILADELPHIA AND HOLY FAMILY MEN RANKED SIXTH AND SEVENTH IN REGION

NEW HAVEN, CT - Philadelphia University and Holy Family University are ranked sixth and seventh in the February 13 NCAA Division II Northeast Region Men's Basketball poll, which was released Wednesday afternoon.

Philadelphia maintains a strangle-hold on the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) South Division with a perfect 11-0 conference mark to go with a 14-11 overall record. The Tigers are second in the division with an 8-4 record and a 15-8 overall mark. Philadelphia swept the season series with Holy Family after a 62-57 victory last Saturday.

The Rams are led by sophomore forward Malcolm Ingram, who ranks fifth in the CACC with an average of 16.6 points per-game. He is also fourth in the league with 8.2 rebounds per-game. Meanwhile, sophomore point guard Russell Frederick leads the CACC with 5.38 assists per-game.

Holy Family is paced by the leading scorer in Division II, senior guard Michael Sturns, who pours in 26.5 ppg. Senior center London Houston leads the CACC in blocks (3.83) and rebounds (10.3), and is second in steals with 2.52 per-contest. Senior guard Ryan Lancaster stands third in the league with 17.4 points per-game.
