PHILADELPHIA AND HOLY FAMILY RANKED IN MEN'S DIVISION II NORTHEAST REGION BASKETBALL POLL

NEW HAVEN, CT-The Philadelphia University and Holy Family University men's basketball teams are ranked according to this season's first edition of the NCAA Division II Northeast Region Men's Basketball Poll. The Rams are a perfect 8-0 in conference play and 11-10 overall this season, while the Tigers are 13-7 overall and 7-3 in conference play.

Philadelphia has won five consecutive games and is led by 6-4 sophomore forward Malcolm Ingram, who averages 15.9 points per-game, including 18.8 ppg in conference games. He also leads the team with a field-goal percentage of 51.4 (56.1-percent in CACC games) and 7.8 rebounds per-game. He stands seventh in the CACC in scoring, sixth in rebounding and fifth in field-goal percentage.

Sophomore point guard Frederick Russell leads the CACC with 5.75 assists per-game and he contributes 10.6 points per-game. Senior forward Jason Hickenbottom tosses in 13.4 ppg to rank second on the club, while junior guard Mike Dunn is scoring at a 12.0 ppg clip. Dunn leads the CACC in 3-point field-goals made (63) and is third in 3-point field-goal percentage (.406).

Holy Family is paced by Michael Sturns, who leads all of Division II in scoring. The 6-5 guard is pouring in 25.8 points per-game, including a career-high 39 in a win at Chestnut Hill on Tuesday. Sturns also pulls down 6.3 rebounds per-game. Senior center London Houston is leading the CACC in rebounds (10.2 per-game) and blocked shots (3.4) and is also averaging 11.1 ppg and 2.6 steals per-game. Senior guard Ryan Lancaster ranks third in the conference with an average of 17.0 ppg and Quincy Marshall stands third with 4.53 assists per-game.
