POST'S ROBERTSON PICKS UP ECAC PLAYER OF THE WEEK HONORS

December 13, 2007

CENTERVILLE, Mass. - Post University senior swingman Arthur Robertson (Far Rockaway, N.Y./Beach Channel) picked up his second weekly award, as the ECAC selected him as the Division II Player of the Week. He averaged 21.5 points, 9.0 rebounds, and 5.5 assists per-game in a pair of wins last week.

This is the second ECAC Player of the Week honor for Robertson, as he garnered a weekly selection in January of last season. On Monday, he was named the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Player of the Week.

Robertson led the Eagles in a 93-86 win over Pace University last Thursday, finishing the evening with 32 points, 13 rebounds and eight assists. The Far Rockaway, N.Y. native connected on 11-of-17 from the field, and sank nine of his 11 charity stripe tosses.

He also scored 11 points in a 55-48 win over University of the Sciences in a CACC contest. It was the sixth time in seven games that he has recorded double digits, and it was the 17th time in the last 19 games that he has scored 10 or more points, dating back to last season.

The senior leads the team and is fifth in the CACC in scoring with 16.9 points per-game. He is also 10th in the conference in rebounding with 7.3 caroms per-game, and seventh in the conference in free throw percentage with 79.5 percent (35-44).

Post is in the mist of a 10-day exam break, and will return to the hardwood on December 18 for the first-round of the ECAC Division II Holiday Classic against Concordia College, at the University of Bridgeport. Post will face Bridgeport in the second-round the next day. Tip-off for both games is slated for 7 p.m.

Both games of the ECAC Division II Holiday Classic will be carried live on the Eagles Sports Network on www.posteagles.com.
