WATERBURY, CT - The first annual Post University Men's Basketball Golf Tournament will take place Friday, Sept. 14, at the Western Hills Golf Course in Waterbury, Conn. The golf outing will directly benefit the Post-Up Club and the men's basketball program for the 2007-08 season.

The tournament will begin at 9:30 a.m., and features a breakfast buffet before the round, 18 holes of golf, food and beverages at the turn, and a three-hour cocktail reception following completion of play. There will be a raffle with prizes during the reception, and there will be many other gifts and prizes throughout the day.

"The golf outing will be a great opportunity for our fans and supporters to get together for a great day of golf, while at the same time benefiting the program," Head Coach Mike Donnelly said. "It should be a fun day for all, and a nice prelude the start of another exciting season."

There will be a $120 fee per person, which includes 18 holes with cart, the breakfast buffet, lunch at the turn, and the reception following the round. In addition, tee and hole sponsorships are also being offered at $100. Each individual who participates as a sponsor or golfer will become an official member of the Post-Up Club, which includes complementary admission to each of the 12 men's basketball home games this upcoming season.

For more information on the tournament or to register, please contact Donnelly in the men's basketball office at (203) 596-4668, or mdonnelly@post.edu.
