PHILADELPHIA, PA ? The Holy Family University men's basketball team is pleased to announce that Justin Swidowski and Diyaaldin Kelley have signed National Letters of Intent to play for the team starting in the 2008-2009 season. The announcement was made on Monday by head coach Alfred Johnson.

"We are truly excited that these two young men chose Holy Family," said Johnson. "They are both long and athletic and can really run the floor. I expect these two to be four-year starters."

Swidowski is a 6'8" forward from Holy Cross High School in Delran, N.J. Under the direction of head coach Barry Harper, Swidowski set a school record with 106 blocks. He also averaged 16.1 points per game (ppg) and 8.4 rebounds per game (rpg). Holy Cross won a school record 24 games last season. Swidowski is a member of the National Honor Society.

"Justin is a very skilled forward," stated Johnson. "He can knock down the 15-foot jumper and play on the box. Defensively, he is a very talented shot blocker."

Kelley is a 6'10" center from the Marianna Bracetti Academy in Philadelphia and coached by Kyle Epps. Last season, he averaged a double-double with 12 ppg and 15 rpg. Kelley also added six blocks per game.

"Diyaaldin has the chance to be an once-in-a-lifetime player at this level," remarked Johnson. "He is a superb shot-blocker and is becoming an aggressive offensive threat, both in the low and high post."
