ROBERTSON TABBED MEN'S BASKETBALL PLAYER OF THE WEEK IN CACC

NEW HAVEN, CT - Arthur Robertson of Post University has been tabbed the Men's Basketball Player of the Week in the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) for the week ending Sunday, Dec. 9. University of the Sciences in Philadelphia freshman Adewale Adefemi was named Rookie of the Week.

Robertson, a 6-2 senior guard/forward from Far Rockaway, NY, led Post to a 2-0 week with averages of 21.5 points, 9.0 rebounds, 5.5 assists and 2.0 steals per-game. He started the week with 32 points, 13 rebounds, eight assists and three steals in a 93-86 victory over Pace. He shot 14-for-21 (.667) from the field for the week and 11-for-13 (.846) from the free-throw line.

Adefemi, a 6-5 freshman forward from Chesilhurst, NJ, registered 17 points, seven rebounds and one steal in his only game of the week at Post. He led all scorers in the game and shot 6-for-10 (.600) from the field.

Honorable Mention

Charles Smith, Bloomfield (Jr., F, 6-7, Newark, NJ) - Had two double-doubles in a 2-0 week. Averaged 16.0 points, 11.5 rebounds and 2.0 blocks per-game.

Adrian Miles, Goldey-Beacom (So., G, 6-0, Washington, DC) - Averaged 17.0 points, five rebounds and four steals per-game in a 2-0 week.

Taurean Temple, Wilmington (Sr., F, 6-5, New Castle, DE) - In a 2-0 week, averaged 18.0 points and 9.5 rebounds per-game. Shot 65% from the field.

James Harper, Felician (So., F, 6-6, Eatontown, NJ) - Averaged a double-double in two games with 17.5 ppg, 12.0 rpg and 4.0 steals per-game.

CACC News

Felician: Continuing a trend from last year, Felician is 2-1 at home and 0-4 on the road, with one neutral site victory. In 2006-07, the Golden Falcons were 8-3 in Rutherford, 3-12 in road games and 1-1 at neutral sites.

Holy Family - Holy Family had a 1-1 week after losing to Philadelphia, 52-47, and defeating West Chester, 80-61. Four Tigers were in double-figures in the loss to the Rams. Guard Michael Sturns led the way with 12 points. London Houston, Tom McKeown and Ceazer Johnson all had 10 points. Sturns led the way again with 26 points in a win over West Chester. Guard Ryan Lancaster added 22 points. Houston filled out the stats sheet with 12 points, 13 rebounds, six steals and five assists. Holy Family is 5-3 overall and 0-2 in the CACC. The Tigers play once this week, a non-conference game against Chowan on December 15.

Post - Post won two games last week to improve to 4-3 overall and 2-0 in the CACC. Arthur Robertson led the Eagles in a 93-86 win against Pace in a non-conference game last Thursday. He had a career-high 32 points on 11-of-17 shooting and also pulled down 13 caroms for the double-double and dished out eight assists. Junior forward AJ Reitter had 26 points on 11-of-17 shooting. Reitter also had six rebounds, four assists, three blocks and three steals. Against USP, senior forward Peter Lawal recorded his second double-double in a row with 14 points and 11 rebounds. Junior center Jesse Iyalekhue led the way with 15 points. Post heads into the exam break, and will return to the hardwood on December 18 against Concordia in the first round of the ECAC Division II Holiday Classic at Bridgeport

USP - USP held Post to under 60 points for the second consecutive meeting (last year's CACC semi-finals) and has now held the Eagles to 60 or fewer points in five of the last six games between the two teams (USP is 4-1 in those five games).

Wilmington - Wilmington has recorded its first two-game win streak since February of 2005. They had their largest second half comeback for a win in almost 3 years. The Wildcats have accomplished this with their improved defense which leads the league in both blocked shots and steals.
