Adefemi, a 6-5 freshman forward from Chesilhurst, NJ, averaged 13.7 points, 6.7 rebounds and 1.33 steals per-game in three contests. He tallied 17 points, six rebounds and three steals against Holy Family and 15 points and eight rebounds versus Lincoln.

CACC Notes

Caldwell - The Cougars ended a three-game losing skid with a 66-55 triumph over CACC North-leading Post University on Jan. 23. Senior guard Michael Wise went 3-of-5 from three-point range en route to a career-high 17 points, while sophomore forward Tyler Emmons grabbed a career-best eight rebounds.

Felician - Senior G/F Jason Romer set a school record with seven three-point field goals (in eight attempts) in Saturday's home loss to Holy Family. Romer's 35 points were the second-most in a game in the 12-year history of the program, short only of Sydir Mitchell's 37 against Bloomfield last year. Rookies Rod Barrow (6-8 FG) and Ryan Moseley (5-6 FG) each enjoyed season high scoring totals (16 and 13, respectively) in last Wednesday's loss at Dominican.

Holy Family - The Tigers picked up two CACC wins last week. Holy Family defeated USP on Tuesday, 69-58. Guard Michael Sturns led four players in double figures with 21 points and Ryan Lancaster added 15. Center David Kellstrom and forward London Houston had in 10 points. Houston recorded 11 rebounds to complete the double-double. On Saturday, Holy Family knocked off Felician, 106-79. It is the first time the Tigers reached the century mark since dropping 102 in an overtime win against Wilmington on January 28, 2006. The 106 points is the highest total for the Tigers in regulation since scoring 113 points in 40 minutes against Chestnut Hill on January 6, 2004. Sturns scored 35 points in the win. Lancaster had 23, while Tom McKeown had a career-game with 19 points and nine rebounds. Houston had another double-double with 14 points and 11 boards. Holy Family is now 12-7 overall and 6-3 in conference play, two games behind Philadelphia for first place in the Southern Division. Sturns is leading Division II in scoring with 25.1 ppg.

Nyack - Senior guard Sheanan Martinez scored his 1,000th point on January 19 versus Wilmington University. Senior Brian Roberts now has 955 career points with seven games remaining on the regular-season schedule.

Philadelphia - The Rams ride a four-game winning streak and hold an unblemished league record as they face their neighbors from Delaware this week-Goldey-Beacom at home on Tuesday and at Wilmington on Saturday. Philadelphia defeated the Wildcats 65-61 in their first encounter back on Dec., 1. Marcus Lemon's 21-point outburst at Post last Saturday represents his season high and one shy of his collegiate best. The sophomore swingman recorded 20 of those points in the second half as the Rams overcame a 12-pt. halftime deficit in the victory. The transfer from Gannon has six efforts in double-figure scoring this season, all coming in his last eight games. Head Coach Herb Magee will be honored at the Philadelphia SportsWriters Association (PSWA) Awards Dinner on Mon., Jan. 28 at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Cherry Hill, N.J. Magee, who last February became the winningest Head Coach in NCAA Division II history, will receive the PSWA's Special Achievement Award.

USP - In the most recent NCAA statistics report, the Devils are ranked 40th nationally in scoring defense (64.9) ; 80th as a team in field goal percentage defense (42.1%), 15th in rebound margin (7.5), and 16th in fewest personal fouls committed (15.3). Adewale Adefemi is ranked 69th nationally in rebounding (8.2/game).

Wilmington - Wilmington had a historical week last week. First on Jan 23rd, the Wildcats earned their first win against instate rival Goldey Beacom in over five years with a 79-76 thriller on the road. In their next game, the Wildcats won their 8th game of the season against Bloomfield, 96-83 at home. Wilmington has now achieved the most wins in program history as a Division II institution.
