NEW HAVEN, CT - AJ Reitter of Post University has been named the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Men's Basketball Player of the Week for last week's games through January 13th. Two freshmen share the Rookie of the Week award in Bloomfield College's Gage Daye and Chestnut Hill College's Brandon Williams.

Reitter, a 6-5 junior forward from Baltimore, MD, poured in a career-high 42 points, along with 10 rebounds, in a road victory at Felician on Thursday. He shot 17-for-23 from the field, 4-for-6 from long range and 4-for-5 from the charity stripe. The 42 points tie a single-game high in the Northeast Region this year. Reitter's 42 points are the most in the CACC since former Bloomfield College standout, Andre Dabney, registered 50 points against Dominican on February 9, 2006.

Daye and Williams each played in two games last week and produced nearly identical stats. Daye, a 6-2 guard from Newark, NJ, averaged 18.5 points, 5.0 rebounds and 4.0 assists per-game in a 1-1 week. He had 29 points and six rebounds in a 79-66 win over Adelphi.

Williams, a 6-1 guard from Philadelphia, PA, averaged 18.0 points, 4.5 rebounds and 3.5 assists per-game for the week. He netted 21 points and added four assists at Nyack and followed with a 15-point, six-rebound, three-assist performance versus Goldey-Beacom.

Honorable Mention

London Houston, Holy Family (Sr., F, 6-7, Philadelphia, PA) - Averaged 18.0 points, 14.5 rebounds and 4.5 blocks per-game in a 1-1 week.

Mike Shipman, Wilmington (Jr., G, 6-1, Bronx, NY) - Notched 25 points, eight assists, six rebounds and two steals in a win over Dominican.

Russell Frederick, Philadelphia (So., G, 6-1, Joppa, MD) - Averaged 14.7 points, 8.0 assists and 5.0 rebounds per-game in a 2-1 week.

Sheanan Martinez, Nyack (Sr., G, 6-0, Haverstraw, NY) - Led Nyack to a 2-0 week with averages of 15.5 points, 8.0 rebounds and 3.0 assists per-game.

CACC Notes

Felician - Senior guard Derrell Thomas has moved into fifth place on Felician's all-time assist list with 172. Thomas is the only guard (non-swingman) in the CACC's top ten in field-goal percentage. Felician canned a season-high 16 three-pointers in 31 attempts (season-high .516) in Thursday's loss to Post. Three-time league Rookie of the Week Devon Young picked up his first career double-double in Saturday's loss to Nyack.

Holy Family - Holy Family is now 8-6 after a 1-1 week. The Tigers won a CACC contest against Post, 84-68. Guards Michael Sturns and Ceazer Johnson and forward London Houston both had double-doubles. Sturns had 31 points and 12 rebounds. Houston provided 17 points, 16 rebounds, six blocks and five assists. Johnson had 13 points and 12 boards off-the-bench. On Thursday, Holy Family fell to host Millersville, 84-79. Five Tigers were in double-figures. Houston led the way with 19 points and 13 rebounds. Holy Family will host Wilmington and Caldwell on Tuesday and Saturday, respectively. On Thursday, the Tigers visit Wilmington

Philadelphia - Junior guard Mike Dunn is within 117 points of becoming the 46th player in school history to record 1,000 career points. Dunn also connected on his 200th career three-point field goal in the Rams' win over UDC, becoming just the fifth player in school history to reach the plateau. Currently, Dunn ranks fifth all-time in school history with 201 career treys and needs just nine more to tie former Rams' All-American Tai Crutchfield for fourth place.

USP - In the most recent NCAA statistics report, the Devils ranked 76th nationally as a team in field goal percentage defense (41.8%), 21st in rebound margin (7.7), 35th in scoring defense (63.4) and 23rd in fewest personal fouls committed (15.6).
