PHILADELPHIA AND HOLY FAMILY REMAIN SIXTH AND SEVENTH IN MEN'S REGIONAL BASKETBALL POLL

February 27, 2008

NEW HAVEN, CT - Philadelphia University and Holy Family University remain sixth and seventh in the February 27 NCAA Division II Men's Basketball Northeast Region poll, which was released Wednesday afternoon.

Philadelphia is one game away from finishing the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) regular-season with an undefeated record. The Rams are currently 15-0 in conference play and 18-11 overall and are the top seed in the South Division for the upcoming CACC Tournament. The squad will wrap up the regular-season at Goldey-Beacom College on Wednesday night at 8:00 pm. The Rams are led by first team All-CACC forward Malcolm Ingram, and third team picks Russell Frederick and Jason Hickenbottom.

Holy Family is riding a four-game win streak and has won 10 of its last 11 contests. The Tigers are the No. 2 seed in the South Division for the CACC Tournament with a 12-4 conference mark and a 19-8 overall record. The Tigers are led by senior guard Michael Sturns, who is the leading scorer in all of Division II and was named the CACC Player of the Year on Tuesday. Senior guard Ryan Lancaster was also a first team All-CACC pick, while senior center London Houston was a second team selection.
