DOMINICAN'S JACKSON EARNS MEN'S BASKETBALL WEEKLY ACCOLADES

NEW HAVEN, CT - Prince Jackson of Dominican College has been selected Men's Basketball Player of the Week in the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) for the week ending Sunday, February 18th. Allen Dean of Bloomfield College was the pick for Rookie of the Week.
Jackson, a 6-6 senior forward from Schenectady, NY, shot 57-percent from the floor and made 7-of-11 three-point attempts in a 1-1 week for the Chargers. He averaged 26.0 points and 6.0 rebounds for the week and poured in 29 points in a loss to regionally-ranked Holy Family.
Dean, a 6-7 freshman forward from Neptune, NJ, recorded 20 points, 19 rebounds and four blocks in Thursday's win over Wilmington. He averaged 16.0 points, 14.5 rebounds and 2.0 blocks while posting a pair of double-doubles in a 2-0 week for the Deacons.
Honorable Mention
Andre Dabney, Bloomfield - Scored 36 points with seven rebounds in a win over Felician. Averaged 27.0 points, 5.5 rebounds and 4.5 assists in a 2-0 week.
Sheanan Martinez, Nyack - Made 10 of 18 field goals and put up 26 points, 10 rebounds, eight assists and four steals in a win over Felician.
Arthur Robertson, Post - Averaged 19.5 points and 7.5 rebounds, shot 60 percent, and went 14-for-14 at the foul line in the Eagles' 2-0 week.
CACC Notes
Dominican: Senior forward Prince Jackson is seven points away from 1,000 in two years at Dominican.
Felician: Sydir Mitchell's 37 points against Bloomfield on Saturday set a career-high and was his second 30+ point effort of the season.
Holy Family - Raheem Scott has made his last 19 foul shots.
Nyack - Junior guard Sheanan Martinez has six double-doubles and a triple-double in his last 11 games. He is averaging 18.9 points, 8.7 rebounds and 6.5 assists while shooting 52 percent during that stretch.
Post: -Post finished the home portion of its regular season with a 100-88 win over Wilmington on Saturday afternoon to improve to 12-0 at home this season. Post has won three of its last four games and 11 of its last 13 heading into the final week of the regular season. Junior Arthur Robertson led the Eagles with 26 points on 8-of-14 shooting against Wilmington. He was 10-of-10 from the free throw line and has sank his last 14 free throw chances. Sophomore Jesse Iyalekhue notched his second double-double of teh season with 19 points and 10 rebounds. Sophomore A.J. Reitter came off the bench to score 19 points, while junior Peter Lawal added 18. Post finished the regular season with two games on the road. The Eagles will face Bloomfield on Tuesday in the penultimate game of the regular season. Post will gear up for the CACC Championships with Dominican on Thursday evening.
USP - The Devils swept the season series versus Philadelphia University, giving head coach David Pauley his first two wins against the Rams. The Devils still trail in the all-time series, which dates back to 1920, 28-27. Bill Kurtz moved into 21st place on the Devils' all-time scoring list with a 16-point effort versus Philadelphia. The Devils are ranked 25th nationally in scoring defense (63.7 ppg) in last week's NCAA statistics report. Kurtz ranked 28th nationally in three-point field goals made per game (3.3) and 70th nationally in three-point field-goal percentage (39.1%).
