SCOTT EARNS MEN'S BASKETBALL PLAYER OF THE WEEK ACCOLADES

NEW HAVEN, CT - Raheem Scott of Holy Family University has been selected as the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Men's Basketball Player of the Week for the week ending Sunday, Nov. 26. Blake Rubenstein of Wilmington College has been picked as the Rookie of the Week.

Scott, a 6-2 senior guard from Philadelphia, PA, was named MVP of the R.L. Vaughan Classic at Elizabeth City State University. He averaged 15.5 points, 9.0 rebounds, 4.0 steals and 3.5 assists in leading the Tigers to a 2-0 record. He recorded 13 points and 15 rebounds (10 offensive) against Kentucky State after an 18-point outing against Claflin.


Rubenstein, a 5-10 guard from Ambler, PA, scored 21 points in a 90-84 loss to Kutztown. He shot 7-for-13 from the field, including 6-for-8 accuracy from beyond the arc. He added four assists and one rebound.

Honorable Mention

Sydir Mitchell, Felician - Recorded 34 points (12-of-20 FG's) and 10 rebounds in a loss to Queens.

Andre Dabney - Tallied 26 points and five rebounds in a loss to Adelphi. Shot 8-for-18 from the field and 6-for-11 from the arc.

CACC Notes

Felician - Felician took 86 shots and had only 11 turnovers in Wednesday's loss at Queens.

Post - Post dropped its only game before the Thanksgiving break last week, falling on the road to Molloy College. Junior Arthur Robertson had a double-double with 19 points and 10 rebounds, while Mike Brockington tallied 11 points in 11 minutes of action. Post out rebounded the Lions 45-42, and enjoyed a 23-22 edge on the offensive glass.
