CACC Notes

Caldwell - Freshman forward Sam Cricelli scored a career-high 26 points in the Cougars' 68-60 win at Wilmington on Jan. 20, marking the first time in 17 games this season that someone other than senior guard Jean Georges or junior forward B.J. Suchy has led the team in scoring. Cricelli leads Caldwell in rebounding at 6.4 boards per game while averaging 10.5 points per contest.

Felician - Senior center Michael Pierrot became the third player in the program's 11-year history with 1,000 career points, reaching the milestone on Saturday. Pierrot has recorded six consecutive 20+ point games.

Philadelphia - Head Coach Herb Magee needs just one win to tie Clarence "Big House" Gaines for first-place on the all-time Division II victories list with 828. Senior center Christian Burns has registered a double-double in 14 of 18 contests this season including ten straight to open the season.

Post - Post continued to roll, winning all three games last week, including two thrilling games at the Drubner Center. Last Tuesday against Bloomfield, Peter Lawal's slam dunk gave the Eagles a 96-95 win. AJ Reitter had 27 points on 9-of-13 shooting, while knocking down four three pointers. On Saturday against Holy Family, Reitter went for a lay-up that was blocked, but the official called for goaltending, as the Eagles came from behind to defeat the Tigers 67-65, avenging an earlier defeat this season in Philadelphia. Senior James Lee had 21 points to lead the Eagles. Sandwiched between the buzzer-beaters was a 61-53 win on the road at Caldwell on Jan. 18. Reitter had 15 points to lead the Eagles, while Lawal recorded his third double-double of the season with 11 points and 12 rebounds. Post's five game winning streak is the first for the Eagles in the Mike Donnelly era.

USP - USP's 7-3 conference record through the first half of the conference schedule is their best first half record since the 2003-04 season. Saturday's loss to Nyack snapped a three game conference winning streak. William Kurtz has made 25 three-point field goals in the last four game he has played and now trails only Joe Miller (253) on the Devils all-time three point field goals made list with 239 for his career. The Devils are ranked 18th nationally in scoring defense (62.1 pts. allowed /gm) and 39th nationally in FG% defense (41.1%).
