GOLDEY-BEACOM WINS ECAC MEN'S BASKETBALL CHAMPIONSHIP OVER MOLLOY

WILMINGTON, DE - Goldey-Beacom College had five players reach double-figures in an 86-70 victory over Molloy College in the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Men's Tournament Championship Saturday afternoon. Junior forward Derek Savage led the way with 21 points and seven rebounds.

Goldey-Beacom (15-13) started off hot from the field and buried an amazing 81.8-percent (18-of-22) of its first half field-goals to take a 41-33 lead at the break. The Lightning also went 5-for-7 from 3-point range in the first 20 minutes of play. For the game, the Lightning shot 62.2-percent (28-of-45) from the floor, while Molloy (14-15) shot just 38.7-percent (27-of-68).

The other four Lightning to hit for double-digits were freshman forward Anthony Parham (18), senior guard DJ Stanberry (15), freshman guard Adrian Miles (14) and freshman forward Steven Cooper (11). Miles added 11 rebounds and six assists in the game.

Keith Tilley led Molloy with 24 points and 11 rebounds and Glenn Martin added 21 points.
