NEW HAVEN, CT - Philadelphia University senior guard Tayron Thomas and Bloomfield College junior guard Andre Dabney have earned spots on the Daktronics NCAA Division II Men's Basketball All-Northeast Region team. Thomas was voted as the co-Player of the Year in the region, while Dabney was a second team selection. Sports Information Directors throughout the Northeast Region conducted the voting.

Senior forward Stacey Moragne of UMass Lowell and Thomas tied in voting for the Player of the Year honor. Thomas, the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Player of the Year, was tabbed a first-team honoree for the third consecutive season after leading all of Division II with an average of 29.0 points per-game. He became Philadelphia's all-time leading scorer this season with 2,414 points. Furthermore, Thomas ranked third in the CACC this season in rebounding (7.8), sixth in assists (3.77) and second in free-throw percentage (.828).

Moragne was the regional Player of the Year last season and was the Northeast-10 Conference co-Player of the Year with averages of 20.7 points and 7.5 boards per-game. Bryant senior guard John Williams makes his second straight appearance on the first-team and they are joined by Saint Anselm senior guard Jim Moore and junior guard Bradd Wierzbicki of Queens.

Dabney was one of only two non-seniors on the All-Region team and was a second team pick for the second consecutive season. He was a first team All-CACC performer this season and boasts averages of 19.0 points, 4.6 rebounds and 4.1 assists per-game. With Dabney helping to lead the way, the Deacons won their third straight CACC Tournament Championship on Saturday, March 4.
