WILMINGTON'S MAFALE NAMED CACC GOLFER OF THE WEEK

NEW HAVEN, Conn. - Nick Mafale of Wilmington University was tabbed Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Golfer of the Week for the week ending Sunday, April 10. Rookie of the Week accolades went to Concordia College’s Kyle Grandilli.
Mafale, a 6-2 sophomore from Street, Md., fired two rounds of 78 to tie for 33rd at the Penn Quaker Invitational against mainly Division I competition.
Grandilli, a freshman from Colborne, Ontario, led the Clippers at the Concordia Spring Fling, tying for seventh place with a round of 75.
Honorable Mention
Zhao Yang, Nyack (Jr., Bayside, NY) - Finished in a tie for fifth place at the Concordia Spring Fling, carding a two over-par 74.
Wes Hood, Goldey-Beacom (Sr., Chesapeake City, MD) - Tied for 17th at the Edwin B. Cottrell Invitational, firing two rounds of 81 to lead the Lightning. Also finished second at the Philadelphia U. tri-match.
CACC Team Notes
Philadelphia - Leading the Rams was junior Stanley Chun who shot a 79 at the Immaculata University Invitational at the Rolling Green Golf Club taking the top spot for PhilaU and finishing seventh overall. PhilaU golf moves on to the CACC Championships as Day 1 kicks off at the Whitemarsh Valley Country Club on Monday (4/11).
