OTT NAMED CACC GOLFER OF THE WEEK

NEW HAVEN, Conn. – Wilmington University's golf team collects both Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Player of the Week and Rookie of the Week honors on Monday, April 4. Daniel Ott was named Player of the Week and rookie honors went to Andrew Baldo. 

Ott, a sophomore from Pilesgrove, N.J., shot rounds of 68 and 67 to finish seven under par at the Wilmington Spring Invitational. He also tied for 29th in the highly competitive North Alabama Spring Classic earlier in the week, shooting rounds of 80, 78 and 70.

Baldo, a freshman from Landenberg, Pa., finished in second place at the Wilmington Spring Invitation, finishing three under-par. He also led the team at the North Alabama Classic in a tie for 15th place with rounds of 73, 76 and 75.  

Honorable Mention
Thomas Rees, Post (So., Cardiff, Wales) - Won the 13-team Peter King Memorial Tournament with a two round total of 148 (+6). Shot rounds of 75 and 73 to lead Eagles to the team title.

Wes Hood, Goldey-Beacom (Sr., Chesapeake City, MD) - Was the individual winner at the GBC Spring Invitational, carding rounds of 74 and 75 (+9 overall).

CACC Team Notes

Post - Post University defeated two opponents ranked higher than them in the East Region in top ranked St. Thomas Aquinas and third ranked American International this weekend at the Peter King Memorial. The Eagles took home four of the top six places, with Thomas Rees as the medalist, David McGregor third, Marchant de Villiers fourth, and Ross Earnshaw sixth.

Philadelphia - Leading the Rams this week was junior Ryan O'Donnell (Newtown Square, PA/Maple Newtown H.S.) hitting a team best of 80, tying for third overall along with junior Brad Krohl (Clifton Park, NY/Shenendehowa H.S.). Stanley Chun (San Francisco, CA/ Palo Alto H.S.) shot 82 for fifth-place. The Rams travel to Rock Manor Country Club in Wilmington, DE to compete in the Swarthmore College Fall Tournament Monday April 4th.
