WILMINGTON'S PERRINE SELECTED GOLFER OF THE WEEK

NEW HAVEN, Conn. - Wilmington University's John Perrine has been named the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Golf Player of the Week for the first report of the spring season. Post University's Ross Earnshaw was tabbed Rookie of the Week.

Perrine, a 5-8 sophomore from Sicklerville, N.J., shot rounds of 70, 71 and 74 at the Caribbean Classic to tie for ninth place. He was just six strokes behind the winner as Wilmington placed sixth as a team.

Earnshaw, a freshman from York, England, third place at the Dowling Spring Classic. He led after the first round with a 72 and shot an 83 on day two to finish as Post's second golfer. He also placed 40th at the Pfeiffer Invitational with rounds of 82 and 86.

Honorable Mention

Devon Ripley, Goldey-Beacom (So., Camden, Del.) - Won the Dowling Spring Invitational after carding rounds of 80 and 70 to win by three strokes.

Kyle Grandilli, Concordia (Fr., Port Colborne, Ontario) - Finished 17th at the St. John's Classic with a 2-round total of 151 (75, 76).

CACC Team Notes

Post - Post University's golf team is preparing for their third tournament of the spring season at the Pizza Inn/Barton Invitational in Wilson, NC. Last year the Eagles placed 12th in the tournament that boasts nationally ranked programs in Division II golf. The Eagles defeated No. 18 Midwestern State this fall. This year's tournament will feature competition against host No. 10 Barton College, No. 29 Queens University of Charleston, No. 56 Pfeiffer, No. 57 Belmont Abbey College, and No. 58 Mount Olive. Post University is ranked 75th in Division II and is one of the top programs in the Northeast.
