RUTHERFORD, N.J. – Senior Brian Luyster (Wayne, NJ/Wayne Hills) and junior Matthew Smith (Gibbstown, NJ/GCIT) have transferred to Felician College and have signed athletic financial aid agreements to continue their collegiate golf careers, Golden Falcon head coach Ben DiNallo Jr. announced today.

Luyster played golf for three years at Caldwell College before the Cougars discontinued their golf program this summer. In two of his three seasons he was the team’s low scorer at the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Championships. He has a career-best round of 78. Luyster is a 2007 graduate of Wayne Hills High, where he was a two-time second-team all-Passaic County honoree.

Smith has two years of eligibility after spending the last two seasons at Gloucester County College. Scholastically, he won a Group 1 state championship at Gloucester County Institute of Technology and earned team and individual state technical championships. Smith was a two-time first-team all-Tri-County selection at GCIT and also participated in swimming. He will join his brother, Jason, on the Felician golf team.

Felician, a member of NCAA Division II, plays in the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference. The Golden Falcons finished a school-record sixth at the 2010 CACC Tournament.
