McGREGOR SELECTED CACC GOLFER OF THE WEEK

NEW HAVEN, Conn. - David McGregor of Post University has been selected the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Golfer of the Week. Michael Coppa of Goldey-Beacom College and Nick Mafale of Wilmington University were named co-Rookies of the Week.

McGregor, a junior from Helensburgh, Scotland, led Post to the team championship at the Dowling Peter King Memorial Invitational, shooting a 147 (76, 71) to finish in second place overall.

Coppa, a freshman from Hampstead, Md., finished second overall at the Edwin B. Cottrell Invitational at West Chester. He fired rounds of 76 and 72 for a total of 148. He lost a sudden-death playoff to the winner from Indiana (Pa.). Mafale, a freshman from Street, Md., was just one stroke behind after shooting rounds of 73 and 76.  

Honorable Mention

Brian Kivlehan, Dominican (Sr., Mahwah, NY) - Recorded two first place finishes last week, at the Rockland Collegiate Cup and Caldwell Invitationals. Shot rounds of 70 (Rockland) and 76 (Caldwell).

John Radick, Holy Family (Jr., Richboro, PA) - Placed eighth at the Peter King Memorial, shooting a pair of 76’s.

Daniel Ott, Wilmington (Fr., Pilesgrove, NJ) - Tied for fifth place at the West Chester Invitational, shooting rounds of 75 and 76.

CACC Notes

Chestnut Hill - The Griffins collected their first win in of the season, finishing seven strokes ahead of Arcadia University at Lulu Country Club on April 5.
