2009 CACC Golf Weekly Awards

March 23

Player of the Week: Justin Grossman, Goldey-Beacom (Gr., Dover, DE) - Tied for second at the Wilmington University Spring Invitational and followed by placing sixth at the St. Thomas Aquinas Invitational. Shot a 144 (74, 70) at Wilmington and 152 (78, 74) at STAC.

Rookie of the Week: Inigo Beltrain, Nyack (Fr., Madrid, Spain) - Tied for 14th at the St. Thomas Aquinas Invitational by shooting rounds of 77 and 78 (155).

March 30

Player of the Week: Rob Hunt, Goldey-Beacom (Sr., Wilmington, DE) - Placed first at the Philadelphia Quad Match with a round of 75 on Saturday at the ACE Club. He led the Lightning to a first place finish at the event.

Rookie of the Week: Tyler Harman, Goldey-Beacom (Fr., Dover, DE) - Placed fourth at the Philadelphia Quad Match with a round of 77.

April 6

Player of the Week: Wes Hood, Goldey-Beacom (So., Chesapeake City, MD) - Placed second at the 16-team Goldey-Beacom Invitational last weekend. Fired rounds of 78 and 70 (+4) and finished just three shots behind the winner.

Rookie of the Week: Tyler Harman, Goldey-Beacom (Fr., Dover, DE) - Was named Rookie of the Week for the second straight week. Was the rop rookie finisher at the Goldey-Beacom Invitational after carding rounds of 71 and 81 (+8) to tie for seventh place.

April 13

Player of the Week: Lee Wanklyn, Post (Jr., Berkshire, England) - Led Post to the team title at the Peter King Memorial Tournament at Dowling College by placing second after firing two rounds of 75. He finished just one stroke behind the winner.

Rookie of the Week: Tyler Harman, Goldey-Beacom (Fr., Dover, DE) - Tied for 10th place at the Peter King Memorial Tournament, shooting a two-day total of 154 (77, 77). Helped lead the Lightning to a sixth place finish at the event.

April 21

Player of the Week: Brian Kivlehan, Dominican (Jr., Mawah, NY) - Tied for first place honors at the Caldwell Invitational after firing a 74 in a tune-up before the CACC Championships.

Rookie of the Week: Randy Kurzinski, Caldwell (Fr., Barnesville, PA) - Tied for first place at the Caldwell Invitational with a round of 74. Followed by placing second at the Nyack Duals after shooting a 72.

April 27

Player of the Week: David McGregor, Post (So., Helensburgh, Scotland) - Won the individual title at the CACC Championships for the second straight year. Fired rounds of 68 and 69 (137) to win by four strokes. Led Post to the team championship.

Co-Rookies of the Week: Gavin Wilson, Post (Fr., Fife, Scotland) and Jon Lussier, Post (Barton, VT)-  Both helped lead Post to the CACC Championship. They tied for fifth place and both carded two-round totals of 144. Wilson shot 73 and 71 and Lussier fired 71 and 73.
