DOMINICAN'S KIVLEHAN COLLECTS GOLF WEEKLY AWARD

NEW HAVEN, CT - Dominican College's Brian Kivlehan has collected Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Golf Player of the Week honors for the week ending Sunday, April 19. Caldwell College freshman Randy Kurzinski earned Rookie of the Week accolades.

Kivlehan, a junior from Mawah, NY, tied for first place honors at the Caldwell Invitational after firing a 74 in a tune-up before the CACC Championships.

Kurzinski, a freshman from Barnesville, PA, tied for first place at the Caldwell Invitational with a round of 74. He followed by placing second at the Nyack Duals after shooting a 72.

Honorable Mention 

Dan Garcia, Caldwell (Fr., Guadalahara, Mexico) - Placed third at the Caldwell Invitational with a round of 75, and followed by placing fourth at the Nyack Invitational with a 75.

Joe Leardo, Felician (So., Belleville, NJ) - Placed fifth at both the Caldwell and Nyack Invitationals, shooting rounds of 78 and 76.

CACC Notes 

Caldwell - Freshman Randy Kurzinaky tied for first at the Caldwell Invitational with a score of 74, then shot a 72 at the Nyack Duals to take second overall. Helped lead the Cougars to victory at the four-team Caldwell Invitational, and to a second-place finish behind STAC, ranked third in the region, at Nyack.

Felician - Felician completed the dual-match season with a 4-9 record, the most victories in program history.

Nyack - Under a beautiful sky of Golfer's weather, Nyack College hosted a Quad Match with St. Thomas Aquinas, Caldwell and Felician Colleges at the Blue Hill Golf Club last week. STAC placed first with a team score of 303, led by Chris Fitzpatrick's 2 par under round of 70. Caldwell finished four strokes ahead of Nyack College 316 to 320. Felician rounded out the field with a team score of 330.
