POST LEADS AFTER FIRST ROUND OF CACC GOLF CHAMPIONSHIP

April 14, 2008

MIDDLETOWN, DE-Post University, the two-time defending Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Golf Champion, shot a 303 today to top the leader board after one day of competition at the 2008 Championship at Back Creek Golf Club in Middletown, DE. Freshmen Ryan Philipp and David McGregor and senior Calum Malcolm are three of five golfers who shot a four-over-par 75 today to lead the event. Wilmington University's Vinny Nardo and Matt Hall also carded 75's today. The second and final round of the championship will be held tomorrow at Back Creek, starting at 10:00 am.

Post's top four golfers all shot 78 or better today, as its fourth scorer, sophomore Lee Wanklyn, shot a 78. Wilmington is just two shots behind Post after carding a 305 today. After Nardo and Hall, the final two scorers for the Wildcats were senior Lorne Shannon (76) and junior Mark Murphy (79).

Goldey-Beacom College stands third with a total of 313, as the Lightning were led by junior Rob Hunt's round of 76. Mark Agnew, Wes Hood and Justin Grossman all shot 79 for the Lightning. Dominican College stands fourth after a round of 316. Leading the Chargers are junior A.J. Lee (76), senior Brian Mackey (78) and freshman Thomas Lalonde (79). Nyack College rounds out the top five after shooting a 335 today. Defending tournament individual medalist, Jonathan Carr, and senior classmate Andrew Barijikian paced the Warriors by both shooting 80.
