2007 CACC Golf Weekly Awards March 26 Player of the Week: Steve Cutler, Goldey-Beacom (Sr., Kennett Square, PA) - Finished second at the St. Thomas Aquinas Invitational with a four-over-par round of 76, just one stroke behind the winner. There were 50 golfers in the field. He led the Lightning to a first-place finish. Rookie of the Week: John Radick, Holy Family (Fr., Richboro, PA) - Finished in a tie for 39th place at the St. Thomas Aquinas Invitational with a round of 88. The Tigers finished eighth at the event. April 2 Player of the Week: Steve Cutler, Goldey-Beacom (Sr., Kennett Square, PA) - Finished in a tie for second place at the Goldey-Beacom Invitational with a two-day score of 143 (-1) early last week. He opened with a 72 and fired a 71 in the final round. Cutler helped lead the Lightning to a 10th place finish. Rookie of the Week: Lee Wanklyn, Post (Fr., England) - Won the Holy Family Invitational with a two-over par 72 at the Torresdale-Frankford Country Club. He also finished in a tie for ninth place overall at the two-day Goldey-Beacom Invitational last Monday and Tuesday. He finished +9 for the tournament to lead the Eagles to a sixth-place finish. April 9 Player of the Week: Steve Cutler, Goldey-Beacom (Sr., Kennett Square, PA) - He finished in fourth place at the Peter King Memorial Tournament last Sunday and Monday. He fired a two-day total of 148 (76, 72) and was the top CACC finisher in the event. He led the Lightning to a fourth-place finish. Rookie of the Week: Lee Wanklyn, Post (Fr., England) - Was named the Rookie of the Week for the second straight week after placing fifth at the Peter King Memorial. He finished with a two-round score of 149 (77, 72) to help lead the Eagles to a third-place finish. April 9 Player of the Week: Steve Cutler, Goldey-Beacom (Sr., Kennett Square, PA) - Finished in first place in a match against Holy Family and USP with a score of 80. He led the Lightning to a first place finish in their last event before the CACC Championships. Rookie of the Week: John Radick, Holy Family (Fr., Richboro, PA) - Won a match against Neumann and placed first in an event against Philadelphia, USP and Caldwell by five strokes. He fired a 78 against Neumann and shot a 77 at Caldwell. April 9 Player of the Week: Jonathan Carr, Nyack (Sr., Aurora, Ontario) - Finished in first place at the 2007 CACC Championships in Middletown, DE, last Tuesday. He fired a one-over par 72 to lead the Warriors to a fourth-place finish. Rookie of the Week: Lee Wanklyn, Post (Fr., England) - Finished in third place at the CACC Championships with a round of 74 to lead the Eagles to the team title. He was the first, first-year player to finish at the event. |
