GOLDEY-BEACOM FINISHES 20TH AT NCAA GOLF CHAMPIONSHIP

DANIELS, WV ? Goldey-Beacom College finished in 20th place at the 2006 NCAA Division II Golf Championship at The Resort at Glade Springs in Daniels, WV. The Lightning concluded the four-day tournament with a score of 1,283 (+63).

Goldey-Beacom shot a 329 on the first day of competition and followed with rounds of 313, 321 and 320. South Carolina-Aiken won its third consecutive team title with a total score of 1,148.

Leading the way for the Lightning was senior Michael Tobiason, who carded a nine over-par in the final round for a combined +34 for the tournament. He tied for 80th place overall and shot rounds of 78, 77, 80 and 79.
