Devils take Third in Quad Match at Island Green

The University of the Sciences coed golf team returned to their home course at Island Green Country club yesterday afternoon, taking on three other CACC schools in a quad match and finishing third amongst the fourth schools participating.

Nyack College finished the afternoon shooting 330. Wilmington College was six strokes behind the Warriors with a 336 while the Devils finished the day shooting 385. Caldwell College was fourth with a score of 472.

James Kim led the Devils on the afternoon, shooting 91 on the day. Three strokes behind Kim was Dan Williamson (So., Saucon Valley HS/ Bethlehem, PA) with a 94. Josh Coffield turned in a score of 96 while Ashley Valente (Fr., Penns Grove HS/Carneys Point, NJ) had her best score of the season with a 104 to round out the Devils top four scorers.

Also playing for the Devils were Jared Wallace (Fr., Sunnyside Christian HS/Thoindale, PA)(104); John Giovannone (Fr., Archbishop Wood HS/Hatboro, PA) (107) and Regent Cristosomo (116).

John Carr of Nyack had the low score of the day (74) to earn medallist honors. Alex Brown of Wilmington finished five strokes behind Carr with a score of 79.

USP is now 5-18 on the season.
