TOBIASON EARNS FIRST EVER CACC GOLF PLAYER OF THE WEEK

Junior shoots 152 to earn medallist honors

WATERBURY, CT- Mike Tobiason (Wilmington, DE) of Goldey-Beacom College was named Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Men?s Golf Player of the Week Monday.

Tobiason, the 2004 CACC Player of the Year, shot 78-74 (152) to earn medallist honors at the Saint Thomas Aquinas Spring Invitational. He won by two strokes in the 12-team field which included Post University.

Post finished second, by five shots, with a 647 two-day total, in the event won by Saint Thomas Aquinas. Goldey-Beacom was sixth (666).

Post?s Calum Malcolm (Dunferminline, Scotland) ended in second two shots back with a 154. He and Alex Brown of Wilmington College have been named honorable mention this week. Brown shot rounds of 79 and 80 for a third place finish in a tri-match.

Post is ranked third in the Division II Northeast region and GBC is eighth.
